MURDERDOLLS guitarist Acey Slade (ex-DOPE) has launched a web site for his new project TRASH LIGHT VISION.

The MURDERDOLLS' hiatus has allowed Acey to take his creativity to new places, hence the formation of TRASH LIGHT VISION. "It's kind of weird how things work out," said Acey. "If the MURDERDOLLS were not on hold I never would have started TRASH LIGHT VISION, but I'm real happy to be singing again and being the creative visionary behind something."
According to Acey, the New York-based quartet mixes diverse musical influences from REFUSED and THE RAMONES to DAVID BOWIE and GUNS N' ROSES and lyrical content from isolation to world commercialization.
"Reinvention is a pretty difficult task, especially when you really dig what it is that you're doing and this is the task at hand," said Acey. "I feel that what we have done in the MURDERDOLLS is extremely special. There is only ONE MURDERDOLLS and I wouldn't want to put out some kind of cheep copy. BUT I also need to be true to myself.
"So basically it's like this. It's still punk rock. It's still got an image, but only more 'real.'
"Over the past few months I've written about 15 songs. Along the way looking for the right souls to steal for what would eventually be the band. First came Steve Haley on guitar. I met him when we quit doing drugs together. An excellent guitarist and looks good in a wet suit. Next we have bassist Roger Segal. We started doing drugs together and he has seen Rick Springfield in concert exactly 73 times. Then there is Ron. I have to say he is a more difficult creature to figure out. Well get more dirt on him later, but I'll say this: I have been fortunate to play with some of the best drummers in hard rock. I was concerned about getting a kick-ass drummer and once again I was blessed. At this point, we are now writing in more of a 'band' type way. It is in the realm of possibility that we will have 20+ songs done by the end of April."
